One of my goals for 2018 was to expand my speaking to networks outside of architecture. Imagine my surprise and delight when I was selected as one of the speakers of The Prevailing Woman's Conference in Durham NC.
Sabrina Seymore, Founder and Executive Director of The Prevailing Woman Magazine and She Prevails Conference and her team organized a sold out conference with a wide range of speakers and workshops that captures a wide range of professions.

I was fortunate to to meet many of my (s)hero's Kela Walker, Media Maven, Charli Penn, Editor at Essence Magazine, & Tasha Smith, Actress, Director and Producer! Through heartfelt exchanges of expertise and meaningful discourse about our journey's and desired outcomes, I fell in love with this sisterhood of powerful generous women.
The mission was to share my story to an audience outside of the profession. Although the goal was achieved I also gain so much from this experience. Learned about self care, building a company, building a brand and constantly evaluating my goals and my sacrifice.
