Bio:
The great architect, William J. Stanley, III, FAIA, NOMAC, is the founder and principal for design of the firm Stanley, Love-Stanley, P.C. Mr. Stanley is a Fellow in the American Institute of Architects (FAIA), and was the Chancellor for the College of Fellows from 2014 - 2015.

How did you first learn about architecture and when did you decide that built environment profession was an area of interest for you?
I first learned about architecture as a young child. Not long after that it became my dream to become an architect one day.
 
What do you do?
As Design Principal of Stanley, Love-Stanley, P.C. I am in charge of design of every project. I also am in charge of Marketing.

What excites you in the work you do?
Every day is different. Even with all my years of experience there is always something new to learn.

My wife and business partner Ivenue Love-Stanley, FAIA.

What is your proudest professional accomplishment or achievement?
Being elevated to Fellow in the American Institute of Architects.

Featured Project Description:
SL-S provided award winning design services for this 1,600 seat sanctuary, educational building, peace plaza, bell tower and prayer garden. The new parti consist of a new symmetrical central aisle plan with fan-shaped seating. The exterior (especially the roof form) is comprised of several “hut-shaped” arches constructed of steel bents that increase in height and width, from both the front and the rear to an apex of eighty feet inside along the from edge of the balcony.
