How did you first learn about architecture and when did you decide that built environment profession was an area of interest for you?

I don’t recall exactly when I realized that my love for drawing and my awe of the projects my grandfather built as a contractor came together to bring me on this path. Anytime I wanted to move the furniture in my bedroom, I would draw a floor plan.

What do you do?

Architect, designing educational environments for K-14

What excites you in the work you do?

As an architect, I love the creative problem solving that comes with hearing a client’s needs and goals, putting the pieces together that work within the constraints of their project and designing spaces that have a meaningful impact on students.

What is your proudest professional accomplishment or achievement?

I’ve had the privilege of spending the past 16 years working with Mission College as their campus has transformed with the facilities master plan. I’ve “grown up” with Mission College and will always value the impacts these projects have had.
