STACY GIUSEPPETTI MOORE

Bio:

The great architect, Stacy Giuseppetti Moore, AIA is an Architect at Kirksey. She is based in Houston, TX and a graduate of the University of Houston. Her experience includes commercial, healthcare and government building types. Winning a Kirksey Client Service Award demonstrates the care given to her client relationships. A presenter at events for the San Antonio Young Architects has allowed her to reinvest in the profession by showcasing innovative and inspiring architecture to the next generation of Architects.

How did you first learn about architecture and when did you decide that built environment profession was an area of interest for you?

My father, a construction Project Manager, made the first introduction. The decision was made as early as 1st grade. A task to dress a paper teddy bear for our career of choice depicted an Architect – inclusive of a hard hat and tiny blueprints.

What do you do?

I am a licensed Architect that coordinates and details complex projects to achieve design intents successfully. I am proud to help create spaces in which all design conditions are taken into account and addressed.

What excites you in the work you do?

It is exciting to take every project on as its own unique puzzle with new opportunities for solving a design. The way innovation and unique design characteristics can be embedded into a project inspires me.

Who or what inspires you professionally?

As first generation college graduates and fellow Architects, my siblings and their everyday creativity inspire me to continue evolving in my own career. Our shared passion for architecture is evident – even at family meals.

What is your proudest professional accomplishment or achievement?

A rewarding accomplishment has been reinvesting in my profession by mentoring students with the ACE Mentorship Program. Watching high school students become inspired by learning about architecture has been an experience I will never forget.
