How did you first learn about architecture and when did you decide that built environment profession was an area of interest for you?

After moving from Mexico to AZ at age 11, my school would visit Burton Barr Library, where carefully crafted spaces encouraged exploration, offering a haven of imagination. Since then, architecture became a lens through which I viewed the world.

What do you do?

As an architect at Holly Street Studio, my design ethos strives to enhance community and the public realm through active listening, deep empathy, and integrating principles of sustainable design, accessibility, and social inclusivity.

What excites you in the work you do?

Architecture's ability to reflect the essence of today's society while also contributing to its evolution and transformation. Our work as architects has the potential to ignite dialogue, challenge conventions, and inspire change in communities.
