Bio:
The great architect, Ronnie McGhee, FAIA, has thirty years of professional practice in architecture, specializing in new construction, existing building rehabilitation, and restoration. He has designed and completed work on numerous landmark and US Park Service National Register Listed properties. Ronnie is also an Associate Professor at Howard University and has mentored hundreds of architectural students over the past 16 years at Howard. He is a strong advocate of the AXP program and is a member of the NCARB Board.

Featured Project Description:
The District of Columbia is replacing its DC General shelter for homeless families with a network of smaller family housing facilities in each ward of the city. The newly constructed Ward 5 Short Term Family Housing (STFH) facility includes 46 STFH family units; computer labs for the residents; administrative space for staff and providers; outdoor playground and recreational space; age-appropriate indoor recreational space; homework/study lounge for residents; and other amenities.
