How did you first learn about architecture and when did you decide that built environment profession was an area of interest for you?
I first learned about arch. when I was around 10 years old. My soccer coach was an architect and I shadowed him when I got to high school. It wasn’t until my senior year at Kent that I decided to pursue landscape architecture after getting my architecture degree.

What do you do?
As a landscape architectural designer, I “design everything visible outside of a building”. We design parks, subdivisions, campuses, downtowns, etc... As a 3D Visualizer I create graphics that allow the client to visualize their investments.

What excites you in the work you do?
The most exciting thing about my job is that it combines my interests in nature, architecture, art, and sustainability.

My inspiration comes from my family. I grew up surrounded by goal-oriented entrepreneurs, creatives, and educators who always taught me to give back to the community.

What is your proudest professional accomplishment or achievement?
My proudest professional accomplishment would be graduating with a Master’s in Landscape Architecture and a Bachelor’s in Pan-African Studies at the same time.
