The Great designer,  Nolman davis JR. is from Milwaukee, Wisconsin. I attended the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee where I graduated with a degree in B.S. in Architecture Studies. My experience is in Workplace and Education, but I enjoy a wide range of architecture which keeps me inspired. How did you first learn about architecture and when did you decide that built environment profession was an area of interest for you?

I had a passion for art and admired buildings, especially viewing a city skyline from a distance. Over time this passion continued to grow. I found that I was intrigued not only by the design of a building, but process of the design and construction.

What do you do?

I’m involved and work on every phase of a project from the initial design and space planning to creating construction documents and coordination throughout construction administration.

What excites you in the work you do?

The everyday challenge of architecture. Whether it is creating a unique space plan or coming up with a solution that will help achieve the best design for the end user. Everyday is different and allows me to think differently and remain inspired.

What is your proudest professional accomplishment or achievement?

Knowing that I’m doing something that I worked hard to achieve. Being a black man in architecture is very rare. So, I’m proud of myself every day that I’m continuing to learn and strive to become better, not just as a design professional, but person.
