Who or what inspires you professionally?

​

After a decade and a half of studying and practicing architecture, I find inspiration not only in ideas and mentors but in the extraordinary stories of ordinary people.

Bio:

He is a great licensed Architect registered in two jurisdictions: Ontario, Canada, with the Ontario Association of Architects (OAA), and India, with the Council of Architecture (CoA). He holds a Bachelor's in Architecture degree and a postgraduate diploma in Interdisciplinary Design Strategy from George Brown Polytechnic.​

How did you first learn about architecture and when did you decide that built environment profession was an area of interest for you?

Architecture found me unexpectedly. While preparing for engineering entrance exams, my Engineering Drawing teacher introduced me to the profession. In that moment, a lifelong fascination with the built world became a clear sense of purpose.

 

What do you do?

I work at Architecture49 Inc. in Toronto, where I contribute to the delivery of complex transit infrastructure projects, including work at Union Station, GO Transit stations, and, most recently, three elevated guideway stations for the Ontario Line.

What excites you in the work you do?

Working on complex transit and urban infrastructure projects that shape the daily lives of thousands is deeply rewarding. Each project is a puzzle of technical, social, and spatial challenges, brought together through creativity and collaboration.

Who or what inspires you professionally?

What is your proudest professional accomplishment or achievement?

Earning my license to practice architecture in Ontario in 2026 stands as one of my proudest professional achievements, reflecting years of sustained commitment, perseverance, and rigorous training.

Featured Project Description:

In Passing responds to Toronto's shortage of public washrooms with a civic prototype that reimagines public hygiene as visible, equitable infrastructure. Inspired by the concrete pipe, its modular cylindrical pods form flexible, interconnected spaces for care and reflection. Cast in carbon-negative Ferrock, made from recycled steel dust and silica, the project transforms industrial waste into durable public architecture.
