Bio:

The great desinger, Marcia Eddington joined Studio Red Architects as an Associate in 2017. She is currently a project manager, working on a variety of mid-size commercial buildings and maintaining an active role in her clients’ projects from concept design through construction administration. She approaches each project with discipline, attention to detail, and an understanding of spatial relationships while, at the same time, enjoying the in-depth experience she has gained in both design and project management.

How did you first learn about architecture and when did you decide that built environment profession was an area of interest for you?

My father was an engineer and while I toyed following his path I ended up wanting to do something more unique. I then found Architecture and became fascinated in a world I knew little about and almost 15 years later I am still just as fascinated.

What do you do?

I work on a variety of projects and approach each project with discipline, attention to detail, and an understanding of spatial relationships while enjoying the in-depth experience I have gained in both design and project management.

What excites you in the work you do?

Contributing and creating spaces for our community in the built environment is one of the most rewarding jobs I could ask for. I truly look forward to working with my clients and helping them build something that will last a lifetime.

Who or what inspires you professionally?

Clients. We have some great clients at our firm and I really take joy in creating spaces that bring their vision and our communities together. From conceptual design to final punch walk, it is such a great inspiration to see a building come to life.

What is your proudest professional accomplishment or achievement?

Honestly, it had to be when I finally passed all of my exams. It truly felt like the weight of the world had come off my shoulders when that final PASS came through.
