Who or what inspires you professionally?

I am reminded daily in my routine interactions of the lack of women in my profession, let alone women in leadership roles. I use that reminder as motivation to continue my professional growth so that I may mentor and inspire more women to join me.

How did you first learn about architecture and when did you decide that built environment profession was an area of interest for you?

As a child I devoured the real estate section of the newspaper, dreaming about what the homes looked like inside. In high school I visited the UT Austin School of Architecture, and it immediately felt like where I belonged. I've never looked back.

What do you do?

My role in the firm is to communicate, mediate, and problem solve with Clients and Designers alike to make a project successful. My team of talented colleagues is integral to my success.

What excites you in the work you do?

I enjoy how each project comes with a unique set of complexities and challenges to solve, both physical and intellectual. I also enjoy the always evolving knowledge we gain from observing how a project is ultimately experienced by the end users.

AC Hotel Dallas by the Galleria

Featured Project Location:

Dallas, TX

Featured Project Completion Date:

April 2018

Role in Featured Project:

Principal in Charge/ Project Manager

Featured Project Description:

Prominently located at the corner of a future 5-acre central park, the hotel seeks to catalyze a progressive architectural tone for the imminent redevelopment of the Dallas Midtown district. The architecture reflects the brand's heritage by expressing Catalan Modernism overlaid upon Dallas' pragmatic urbanism. Conceived as a lightweight latticework that levitates above the hotel's public space, the facade's faceted planes evolve throughout the day with the color and light cast from the sky.
