How did you first learn about architecture and when did you decide that built environment profession was an area of interest for you?

As a teenager, I worked on construction sites as a laborer and was fascinated by the drawings and blueprints we used. By the time I graduated high school, I knew that I wanted to be involved in the design of the built environment.

What do you do?

As an architect, I get to work with some great people (team members) that all share a passion for the built environment. As an Architect I get to play a lead role in the design and coordination of the team’s efforts.

What excites you in the work you do?

The thing that excites me the most is the new things that each day and project brings. No two projects are the same and I am continually learn- ing more about the profession and construction industry

 

What is your proudest professional accomplishment or achievement?

The proudest moment professional accomplishment was when I finished all of my licensing ex- ams. This is a big step in every architect’s career and represents the culmination of all the hard work.

Featured Project Description:

The vision for the Eclipse movie theatre was to take the traditional movie theatre experience and incorporate more elements of the entertainment experience. The facility includes a restaurant, bar, and lounge, maximizing the visitor’s experience. KME Architects was tasked with developing a progressive design that would create an upscale environment. KME Architects understood the magnitude of this project on every level and the impact it would have on the surrounding community.
