How did you first learn about architecture and when did you decide that built environment profession was an area of interest for you?

I wanted to be an architect ever since I was six years old, I have always been drawn to the built environ- ment and the designs behind it. I was introduced to floor plans from magazines, art & design books at an early age and of course my lego set.

What do you do?

I practice architecture and design for a variety of building types. More importantly I’m an advocate and mentor for many students who dream of being in this field.

What excites you in the work you do?

To see a creation that you have envisioned or lines you drew actually leap off the page and construct an actual space. Leaving a positive impression on the word around us and being able to physically experience and walk into those dreams.

Who or what inspires you professionally?

People inspire me daily, and the needs of those people. Collaborative and activism design really drive me to be a better designer.

What is your proudest professional accomplishment or achievement?

I’m very proud of my latest endeavor, Architecture Workshops. This program introduces students to the fields of architecture, design, & construction. Focus on engaging youth who are interested in exploring careers in the AEC industry.
