DENISSE TSE

Bio:

The great designerDenisse enjoys the variety of tasks involved in the architectural process. Her creativity, diverse skills and attention to detail allow her to design spaces that strike a balance between aesthetics and functionality. She was born in Cuba and migrated with her family to the United States when she was 11 years old. Having spent the majority of her career dedicated to K12 architecture, one of her favorite things is visiting a school after it is complete.

How did you first learn about architecture and when did you decide that built environment profession was an area of interest for you?

I first learned about Architecture in High School in my art class. My art teacher recommended I study architecture and I decided to listen to her. As soon as I started the Architecture program in college I knew I had found something special.

What do you do?

I'm a project architect at BRW Architects in Dallas. I work primarily on K12 projects from the beginning of design all the way to the end of construction.

What excites you in the work you do?

I love to discover new possibilities in the work we do everyday. I also enjoy watching the end users interact with their new space and the different activities that take place.

Who or what inspires you professionally?

I'm inspired by the people around me everyday, my co-workers and my family. My husband is also an Architect and we share that passion for our profession.

What is your proudest professional accomplishment or achievement?

When I hear the client and end users say that they love their building and feel proud of the environment that I helped create with them.
