Who or what inspires you professionally?
I'm inspired by timeless design, innovative thinkers, and the way architecture can shape experiences. Nature, travel, and everyday life constantly spark ideas, but my greatest inspiration comes from understanding and translating my clients’ needs.

Bio:
Delly Yaker is the founder of Delly D. Yaker Interior Architecture and Design. She began her career in Caracas, Venezuela, earning a B.S. in Architecture and a Construction Management diploma. After working at several firms and co-founding Intrad:dos Arquitectura, she moved to the U.S., where she validated her degree, completed additional coursework, and passed the Architectural Registration Exam. In 2016, she became a licensed architect in New Jersey and New York.
How did you first learn about architecture and when did you decide that built environment profession was an area of interest for you?
I first became interested in architecture at age 10, when my family renovated our own home. Watching the transformation sparked a dream that never left me; to design spaces that shape how we live, feel, and connect.
What do you do?
As the owner of Delly D Yaker LLC, I lead residential architecture and interior design projects, blending creativity with functionality to create thoughtful, personalized spaces that reflect each client's lifestyle and vision.
What excites you in the work you do?
What excites me most about my work is transforming ideas into spaces that truly reflect my clients’ lives. I love the creative process, the problem-solving, and seeing how thoughtful design can improve the way people live and feel every day

Featured Project Description:
Renovation of entire first floor of a split ranch house that included following areas: living room, dining room, powder room, kitchen, eat-in, laundry closet, and family room. The main goal of the renovation was to reconfigure the existing stair to the basement to open the space between kitchen and family room. Similarly, the existing laundry closet was relocated to allow a larger open area for the kitchen and eat-in.
