Bio: 

Darrell is dedicated to professional and community activities on a local and national level. He served on the Board of Directors for 100 Black Men of America and was the President/Chairman of the 100 Black Men of Atlanta.

DARRELL A. FITZGERALD

Bio:

The great architect, Darrell Fitzgerald is the founding principal of Fitzgerald Collaborative Group and has over 40 years of experience in planning and design. He graduated with his Bachelor of Arts in Architecture from UPenn in 1972, and his Master of Architecture from Harvard in 1977. His background includes strategic project development, master planning, design, management, and documentation of architectural projects. Before forming the Fitzgerald Collaborative, Darrell spent 12 years as a Principal with Gensler in Atlanta and Houston, and 20 years as Vice President and Managing Principal with the office of John S. Chase, FAIA, in Dallas and Houston, Texas. He was also Vice President of HKS, Atlanta for 2 years. Darrell is dedicated to professional and community activities on a local and national level. He served on the Board of Directors for 100 Black Men of America and was the President/Chairman of the 100 Black Men of Atlanta.

Featured Project Description:

Fitzgerald Collaborative's interior design team created a fresh take on finishes and furnishings, visually dynamic quarter-points between traffic intersections, and interior integration with new curtainwall systems throughout. Inspired by the recent HJAIA International Concourse facility upgrade, the goal of the airside modernization is to introduce more natural daylight and visibility to the gate hold rooms while connecting each gate with a clean and cohesive ceiling profile.
