How did you first learn about architecture and when did you decide that built environment profession was an area of interest for you?

As a kid I always had an interest in how things are put together and function, had a strong sense of space, and highly enjoyed arts and design. Overtime architecture seemed to be the perfect combination of my abilities and my passion.

What do you do?

I play the role of project manager and project architect on various project types including hotels and residential. At the same time, I form part of the SAMFCO board where we are able to provide scholarships to exemplary Mexican-American students.

What excites you in the work you do?

I love problem solving for the unique challenges that we encounter as architects, and the impact we can have on people by creating beautiful spaces that frame interaction. This together with the technical implications makes every day interesting.
