Who or what inspires you professionally?

While there are many architecture firms and individuals that I find inspiring, I find that my creativity is sparked by paying attention to professionals in other fields including science, art, podcasts, exhibits, history, and diverse creatives.

How did you first learn about architecture and when did you decide that built environment profession was an area of interest for you?Influenced by teachers and class visits from architecture students, I developed a fascination with history and architecture. My mother and I shared a love for touring old historic homes together. The historical imprint architects had impressed me.

What do you do?

I lead a diverse team, listen, problem-solve, and foster trust to find innovative solutions for clients. One of my most important roles is to ask the right questions of both our clients and our design team; to challenge us to find better solutions.

What excites you in the work you do?

Architects turn others' dreams into reality, finding fulfillment in clients' excitement when projects are complete. There is no greater sense of accomplishment than walking through a completed project and sensing your client’s excitement to move-in.

What is your proudest professional accomplishment or achievement?

Caromont ED was my first project as PM. I received feedback from a community member that the building looked as if it had always been there but also felt new and modern. This compliment has stayed with me, and I approach each project with this goal.
