How did you first learn about architecture and when did you decide that built environment profession was an area of interest for you?

Growing up in India, I was fascinated by the temple spires that I viewed out of my windows, wondering how they were built. Followed by the cornucopia of architectural styles of Mumbai, that further fueled my curiosity desire to become an architect.

What do you do?

I am a Registered Architect and a LEED AP BD+C professional with over 16 years of professional experience both in India and in the US. I focus on all phases of design and management, of mixed-use and workplace projects that create a sense of place.

What excites you in the work you do?

It's exciting to see a sketch become a reality, to be able to create places that people love! But what is most rewarding is an opportunity to point to a project I worked on and say to my kids "your mom designed that, if you dream it, you can do it"

What is your proudest professional accomplishment or achievement?

I was proud to be included in CenterBuild Leaders under 40 class of 2019. But my contributions to industry organizations, AIA Dallas Women in Architecture as Chair and CREW Dallas as board member have also been achievements that I am proud of.
