The Book Stop

The inspired design of the Book Stop creatively approaches a global issue of limited resources for public access to great literature. With an adaptable and cost-effective execution the mobile meditative reading space provides opportunities in many locations especially those that are underdeveloped. This will ultimately refresh the importance of the sharing of knowledge through literature in a more playful and hands-on way.

About Kemet C.T. Floyd
Recent graduate of Kent State University architecture program with a minor in sustainability. Born and raised in Dayton, OH. Through design I aspire to apply my knowledge and skills to improve and provide cultural impact through sustainability.
How did you first learn about architecture and when did you decide that built environment profession was an area of interest for you?
I first learned about architecture when I job shadowed a firm in the eighth grade and was inspired ever since to pursue something in design. Once I attended Kent State I knew I had a gift and passion and aspired to make cultural impact since.
What do you do?
Currently working as an architectural designer and brand influencer. I spend my free time designing logos and marketing techniques for small owned businesses.
What excites you in the work you do?
What excites me is the collaboration. I pride myself in always working with diverse designers. Sharing ideas and executing on them to produce extraordinary experiences for others.
Who or what inspires you professionally?
My brother has always inspired me to do more. He is a creative himself and he challenges me to think differently.
What is your proudest professional accomplishment or achievement?
My proudest so far would be receiving my degree in architecture. It is the first step to completing my process of licensure.
Badr Ahmed Zabarah
About Badr Ahmed Zabarah
The great designer, Badr Ahmed Zabarah, a multi-talented individual, excels as an artist, architect, and
exhibition designer. He holds a bachelor's degree in architecture and environmental design and is currently pursuing a master's degree in event and exhibition design. With nearly four years of experience in the art and design industry, he has completed various design projects throughout Saudi Arabia. His dedication to art and design has earned him two international conceptual design accolades.
How did you first learn about architecture and when did you decide that built environment profession was an area of interest for you?
Since I was young, I always like to imagine and draw. I decided to be an Architect After I graduated from the mid school. I was excited to study in Architecture school. I had a really great opportunity to Study abroad in US.
What do you do?
Currently, I am working as project manager At Link creatives company under Misk Art institute. I spend my free time on designing 3d models, interior projects, and online competitions.
What excites you in the work you do?
What excites me is the collaboration. I always like to collaborate with different designers. collaboration is a path to success In this way, we support each and we learn from each other.
Who or what inspires you professionally?
In Architecture field, Bjarke Ingels and David Libeskind. They are my inspires Architects. I like how each of them has a different style and different vision of Architecture. In my daily life, my family they always supporting me, and they are behind me on every step a take.
What is your proudest professional accomplishment or achievement?
I graduated from Architecture school and I have received a people’s choice Award in the Up-cycling online completion, and the best are coming.
